Announcement

At the upcoming District Conference in Lafayette (April 19-21, 2012)  DG will recognize a District 6200 Rotarian who best exemplifies the ideals of Rotary and who demonstrates extraordinary service. Each club is entitled to nominate one Rotarian. Our District awards the Governor’s Cup Award to honor that Rotarian in our District who has made an outstanding contribution to your club, your community, our District, our country, and the world.  The award is given not for the ordinary service every Rotarian gives, but for truly exemplary Rotary service.

Deadline is March 20 , 2012 for sending your Club’s nominee form to our District General Secretary.

SHORTER, EDITED Weekly Blessing by Jim Cooley

Dear Lord, we pray for your blessings upon this meeting, our sharing of this meal together, and our fellowship. We gratefully give thanks and acknowledge thy divine presence within each of us and within this place. May this Rotary meeting remind us of our obligation to be a cog within the perpetual, interactive gear of universal service. All these things we humbly ask in your name, Jesus Christ. Amen.
